How can we expect to…

How can we expect to manifest a life of joy if we don’t take the time to demonstrate what it is that actually makes us happy? Gratitude should be incorporated in your everyday. It is such an important element that can accelerate as well as magnify the good events in our lives.

Take some time today to really think back on all of the things that has genuinely made you feel happy. Express gratitude towards what you’d like to see more of and you’re sure to see more of it show up in your life magnified.

Saw this quote on Pinterest, loved it.

When you put a little extra time in on anything to improve its quality, it is highly appealing.

When a woman works a little more to make herself look like the queen she is, you work it girl!

When a man cares enough about himself to take keep his nails clean, outfit on point, facial hair trimmed – yes please!

When you care enough about your marriage to want to make it work and to keep that fire and passion burning between you and your partner.

Fellas, when you care enough about your woman to want to go that extra mile to make sure she is happy and feels loved. When you help with the kids, when you clean around the house. When you cook dinner.

Women, when you express interest in things that your man loves and make effort to enjoy them too!

When you do more than what is expected of you.

When you put in work to better your life because you know you deserve it.

When you show up early or on time.

When you come prepared to ask questions.

Take pride in the efforts you display, the world needs more of it!

This is something I have…

This is something I have to remind myself of CONSTANTLY.

Not only does a thousand miles journey begin with a step, but that journey should be taken at a steady pace in order to reach the destination. If you try to travel a long distance by sprinting because you want to get there fast, you will most likely become exhausted, burn yourself out, and disinterested in finishing.

The joy is in the journey, and if you want to reach your destination, just trust that you will eventually get there by doing what you can, when you can.

I was watching this interview with Terry Crews some time ago where he talked about those who are interested in getting in shape. I’m paraphrasing, but he basically said when you want to start working out, don’t trying to push yourself to the point that it starts hurting so much. Do as much as you can, it should FEEL good. When you feel it’s no longer feeling good, then stop for the day.

This is because if you go in there trying to push all the heavy weights, or try to work out an hour your first time, you’re gonna be so turned off from doing it that you probably won’t even want to go back.

It’s the same thing with your work or any other individual efforts. Do what you can, a little every day. You’re more likely to keep working at something while taking it in small bite size doses than trying to swallow it whole.

Not only is going at a steady pace good for success, but is also amazing for quality. A steady hand can paint more fine and intricate lines than quick strokes.

Throwback of one of my…

Throwback of one of my favorites… “So what’s this talk about making ends meet? The ends have already been met by the creator who created the ends of the earth”

We are meant to experience life in its fullest and have been blessed with all the means to do it. Remember that as you go about your day today. You are ROYALTY.

On a serious note, if…

On a serious note, if you think about it, it’s actually true.

Life only becomes as tough as you make it out to be. My parents tried bringing me up with this mindset of the world being harsh, living on your own being brutal, and people being cruel.

I decided to see for myself, and I’m kind of having the time of my life.

The only thing that truly makes life “bad” is your perception of the adversities you face in life. They will surely come, but with good reason – they are meant to mold and prepare us for greater experiences.

How do you see life?

Abraham Lincoln would probably ask you, do you complain that the rose bush has thorns, or rejoice that the thorn bush has roses?
